PENGARUH DESAIN LINGKUNGAN FISIK TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS BERPIKIR (KOGNISI)

Learning activities are very necessary attention to the physical environment such as lighting and temperature as factors will have an impact on psychological disorders such as eye fatigue and loss of concentration. It is therefore necessary to know whether there is influence of the physical environment in the room on the productivity of thinking (cognition) by manipulating light intensity and temperature levels. This type of research is Controlled laboratory experiments. Respondents in this study was 60 of 120 respondents after intelligence test with cross word puzzles and game method is controlled by the selection of research subjects through a general intelligence test 5 (TIU 5) with an average value is 21.916. Level lighting manipulation of 205 lux, 363 lux, 438 lux, whereas the level of manipulation room temperature for 26 , 32 , 32 . Based on the experimental results with a significance level of 5%, it can be concluded there is the influence of the physical environment on the productivity of design thinking (cognition). This is indicated by the calculated F value is greater than the value of F table at 2.262 > 1.995.
