KESALAHAN PENGGUNAAN EJAAN YANG DISEMPURNAKAN DALAM KARYA ILMIAH DOSEN UNIVERSITAS BINA DARMA

Abstract

This study is aimed at obtaining information related to errors made by Universitas Bina Darma (UBD) lecturers in implementing EyD on their scientific paper. The research was conducted on April 2011 with 5 articles selected randomly. The data has been analyzed using the newest EyD (Number 46, 2009). The research reveals that there are, still, errors in lecturers’ scientific article. Errors are in the area of using italic letter, capital letter, preposition di, ke, and dari, coma, word absorption, abbreviation, colon, semicolon, particle, and dash. This concludes that lecturers’ competence in writing scientific paper should be improved.
