Abstract


This paper discusses the issue of representation and deconstruction of women in one of the short story by Intan Paramaditha entitled Queen. The purpose of this paper is to show how the author blended sentences to represent women and deconstruct the myths about women who are in the novel Sag Queen. Descriptive method used in this study. The theory used is the representation theory and deconstruction. The conclusion of the analysis of this short story is the female characters who appear in this short story is a form of satire on society, especially with regard to women's issues. The satire voiced female voice that had been silenced by a culture system constructed by the patriarchy. Text used by the author to deconstruct myths about women who 'grounded' by the patriarchy. Myths about women's place women in a very disadvantaged position.
